The Agusan del Norte Electric Cooperative, Inc. (ANECO) is a non-stock, non-profit, service oriented electric cooperative responsible for the distribution of power to the households, business establishments and industries. ANECO, Inc. has been formed in accordance with the provision of Presidential Decree or PD 269 under the National Electrification Administration (NEA). It was incorporated on February 12, 1977. In its operation, ANECO distributes power to the two (2) cities Butuan and Cabadbaran and ten municipalities that comprise the rest of Agusan del Norte namely, Las Nieves, RTR, Santiago, Tubay, Magallanes, Jabonga, Kitcharao, Nasipit, Buenavista and Carmen. ANECO, Inc. is serving almost 137,000 member-consumers in the entire Butuan City and Province of Agusan del Norte.
