Agusan del Norte Electric Cooperative, Inc. Welcomces New Set of Scholars for SY 2025-2026
BUTUAN CITY, AGUSAN DEL NORTE—The Agusan del Norte Electric Cooperative, Inc. (ANECO, Inc.) officially welcomed the new recipients of its scholarship program for the school year 2025-2026 in a special Presentation and Orientation event held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 1 o’clock in the afternoon.
The event, which took place at the cooperative’s main office, was a momentous occasion for the new scholars and their families. It was graced by key officials from ANECO, Inc., including General Manager Engr. Darwin T. Daymiel, Board President Director Romeo J. Gumadlas, members of the Board of Directors, and the Corporate Communication and Public Relations Office (CCPRO) team led by Manager Rhodora O. Lim. The cooperative’s existing scholars were also present to welcome the new batch.
A total of twenty (20) applicants successfully qualified for the scholarship this school year, emerging from a rigorous screening process that included an IQ test, background investigation, and a final interview with ANECO’s department managers. This new cohort of scholars represents the cooperative’s commitment to investing in the education of deserving youth within its franchise area.
During the program, General Manager Engr. Darwin T. Daymiel extended his congratulations and words of encouragement to the new scholars, officially welcoming them into the “ANECO Family.” He emphasized that while their qualification is a significant achievement, the true challenge lies in their ability to maintain their academic standing throughout their chosen courses until they graduate.
ANECO Board President Director Romeo J. Gumadlas also addressed the audience, appealing to the parents and guardians to provide their unwavering support to their children. He stressed the importance of a collaborative effort between the cooperative, the scholars, and their families to ensure the students’ success and the maintenance of their scholarship status.
In a poignant part of the program, the new scholars and their parents expressed their heartfelt gratitude to ANECO, Inc. for the scholarship. They shared how this financial assistance would be a tremendous help in alleviating their family’s financial burdens and would allow the students to focus on their academic pursuits.
The orientation portion of the event followed, where the new scholars were briefed on their rights and responsibilities as recipients of the ANECO scholarship. The cooperative’s policies and the grounds for maintaining their scholarship status were thoroughly discussed.
The program concluded with the official contract signing, where the new scholars, accompanied by their parents or guardians, formalized their commitment to the scholarship program. As a final highlight, the new scholars received their first allowance, marking the beginning of their academic journey with the support of ANECO, Inc.
